Purpose of Meeting
The Town of East Longmeadow is proposing an improved landfill cap and related activities to complete the closure of the Allen Street Landfill. The project requires review under the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) and is within 1 mile of designated Environmental Justice (EJ) populations in the City of Springfield, specifically in the Sixteen Acres Neighborhood. As part of the MEPA process, the Town of East Longmeadow is conducting advanced public outreach to engage communities within the 1-mile designated geographic area. This public information session is being held to share futher details about the proposed work and receive feedback from interested individuals.
