Purpose of Meeting

To present a free original one-act play, written and performed by a local Equity actress, Jarice Hanson.
"Frances Perkins: A Woman's Work" is the story of the first woman ever on the US Cabinet in 1938 under FDR.
Perkins founded: Social Security, Child Labor Laws, any many other services to the public which have become law.
However, few have heard of Ms. Perkins; a quiet woman with a brilliant mind and love for those in need.
This is one of 3 performances in Springfield in our efforts to educate the public about Ms. Perkins, in a theatre format.

The play is 45-50 minutes long. Then time for the public to do Q&A to Ms. Perkins, with the actress still in character.

Sponsored by In the Spotlight of Springfield, MA with funding from the Springfield Cultural Council.

Thank you very much.
