Join us at the Central Library to learn about Shays' Rebellion and the post-Revolutionary War era in Springfield and Worcester. Led by Daniel Shays in 1786-1787, Shays' Rebellion was the armed uprising of farmers in response to their economic hardship. Librarian and Adjunct Professor of History, Gregg Mitchell, will help us learn about this interesting part of our local history and the revolutionary spirit of Western Massachusetts.
