An evening of music and conversation with local emerging artists!
Born to Jamaican immigrant parents and raised in a musical household, Astrowavez is a genre-blending electronic artist from Springfield. He has dubbed his style: Afro-Nova - a futuristic, spacey sound rooted in experimental future bass, vaportwitch, and retrowave.
His work is more than music - it's part of an ongoing Afrofuturist narrative centered around Retro, a sentient robot from the future who sends beats through space under the alias “Astrowavez.” With each project, he expands this world, aiming to create a distinct universe where music and sci-fi storytelling collide.
