Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this event is to provide a presentation to inform community residents about lead poisoning and raise awareness to improve health outcomes. In addition, community-based organizations will share information about related programs, and coalitions will highlight their work connected to community health. We are hoping to increase community knowledge about the risks and health impacts of lead exposure, provide residents with practical resources and strategies to reduce lead exposure in their homes and neighborhoods, connect families, renters, and homeowners with local programs and services that support lead prevention and housing safety.
