Weekly Meeting of Girl Scout Troop 65166

Come hang out and craft on Wednesday evenings from 4-5:30pm. Embroider, sew, stitch, knit, or anything else you desire. We will provide embroidery materials, strings and needles, but feel free to bring your own crafting projects to work on.

Join Meg as we do a different craft every week on Wednesday afternoons. Tissue Paper Painting, Watercolor painting, finger painting, and floral book marks are some of the crafts we will be exploring.

Join us at parks around Springfield to discover local birds and our city's beautiful places to view them.

Come join us for education fun and learning at a librarian facilitated playgroup!  An adult must accompany and consistently supervise children.  No registration required, just drop in. Birth to 5 years, siblings welcome. 

We supply the artist-quality crayons, pencils and pens and coloring pages, to spark your creativity. Just drop by The Homework Center and color your stress away. For tweens and teens. 

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Attention LEGO enthusiasts! All are invited to drop in for our freestyle building Lego Club. Make new friends and browse our library's many LEGO-themed books. Have the freedom to build using your imagination.

Do you have an infant under 12 months (pre-walker)? Join us for some fun and socializing. Developmentally appropriate toys and materials available for you to use with your child.

Join us every Friday for Open Sew at the Mason Square Library! Bring your sewing projects and join a community of crafters to learn, create, and socialize. Open Sew is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experts. 

No registration required. Adult must accompany children. Presented in collaboration with Home City Families. For ages 12 mos. - 6 years, siblings welcome.

It's time to start the weekend with some games! We will have a Nintendo Switch running for up to 4 players, board games, cards, and legos available. Light refreshments provided. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 welcome!

End of the week blues got you down? Visit the Forest Park branch every other Friday after school for some gaming fun in the teen area! We'll have a variety of board and card games along with our Nintendo Switch! For t(w)eens, ages 11-18.

On Fridays we will play Mario Kart, Mario Party and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, on our brand new Switch. Bring your own controllers for 2+ multiplayer games. 3-5pm.

Celebrate the stupendous letter S. We'll read some stories about snakes, sheep, and stars followed by an S-themed craft. All participants will receive a play scarf and shaker egg to take home! Ideal for ages 2-6 with all children welcome.

Read your favorite stories alongside Duchess, the Yorkshire Terrier! Reading aloud to a registered therapy dog helps improve literacy skills and boost confidence. Bring your own book or choose from the library's collection.

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

Join us to build and create with Dominoes! This program is open to kids in grades 2nd-8th and will teach kids some basic domino-building skills, as well as give them an opportunity to build on their own!

Family friendly chess club for kids to come learn and sharpen their skills in a supportive environment.

Every Tuesday morning. Geared toward children pre-k and under with accompanying adults, but older siblings welcome!

Wee Ones is a special storytime developed for toddlers that encourages  interaction through stories, music and play. Come have fun while building early literacy and social skills. For children and their caregivers.
