Get in the giving spirit this holiday season and add your donations of new mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves to the Mitten Tree at every library location. Donated items will be distributed throughout Springfield in January. 

This January you are invited to compete in the Winter Reading Challenge. Follow the prompts, get a bingo, and earn a prize! Submit your finished bingo sheets to a librarian by February 24. For children, teens, and adults. 

Celebrate International LEGO Day at the Library. Enjoy snacks, prizes, and, of course, LEGO-building fun! Recommended for grades K-12. All skill levels are welcome.

Valentine's Day is February 14.  Drop by any location and make a card for that special someone in your life. All supplies are included. 

Celebrate Black History Month at the Library! Stop by any location during the month of February to make an artistic collaged bookmark to be inspired by your favorite African American historical figure all year long, every time you read.
