Held every Tuesday morning. Geared toward toddlers ages 3 and under with their grown-ups!

Every Thursday we will offer an array of toddler friendly activities and toys to work on motor skills. Aimed at toddlers, but siblings welcome.

Come join us for educational fun and learning at a librarian facilitated playgroup! 

No registration required, just drop in anytime during the program.

Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Sonia Dinnall will continue her Super Saturday/Super Sunday events this year for parents and families to connect directly with her.

Get ready for Halloween! To kick off Scary Season the Forest Park Branch is hosting a Costume & Clothing Swap!

Get crafty with either wooden or glass magnets. Using paint, markers, or cut-out pictures, decorate a door, a fridge, or a locker. For children 6 and up. 

Calling all parents with young children! We invite you along with your child for a fun filled hour of gross motor fun to develop physical abilities.

Attention LEGO enthusiasts! All are invited to drop in for our freestyle Lego Building Club. Make new friends and browse our library's many LEGO-themed books. Have the freedom to build using your imagination.

No registration required. Adult must accompany children. Presented in collaboration with Home City Families. For ages 12 mos. - 6 years, siblings welcome.

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Each week we will have a drop-in project or two based on a theme.

Come listen to your new favorite stories in English and Spanish followed by free play with new pals!

Join us for our day-time, Open Studio session! You can bring a project to work on, or an idea to bounce off of other makers.

We will have fabric paints, glitter, and free pencils to go in your new case.

LEGO to the Library!  Do you enjoy building with Legos? Join us at the library every Tuesday afternoon between 3:30-4:30 for LEGO club and build to your heart's content. This is a drop-in program for kids of all ages. 

Enjoy reading in a quiet, comfortable environment with this silent book club for kids. Each week, we'll get cozy at the library for half an hour of solo reading, plus time at the end to chat and enjoy some snacks!

Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods.

Stop by the EFP Childrens’ Room for our weekly LEGO brick building challenge.  

For master builders aged 5-11!

Surprise! Each month we will play a new game such as Dominoes, Checkers, Scrabble and many others! For families.  

Join us on Wednesday nights to level up your gaming skills! Bring your family and friends for a weekly offering of classic board games and we will periodically break out our Nintendo Switch! Light snacks will be provided.

Get your costume ready for Halloween! This October, the Forest Park Branch is happy to help patrons of any age make the Halloween costume of their dreams.
