Attention LEGO enthusiasts! All are invited to drop in for our freestyle Lego Building Club. Make new friends and browse our library's many LEGO-themed books. Have the freedom to build using your imagination.

Come explore fantasy map making! Whether you're leveling up your tabletop RPG game, illustrating a story you have in your head, or just want to pass the afternoon with a craft, this fantasy map making workshop is for you.

Join us for a refreshing afternoon of art! Paint your own masterpiece, while you enjoy a soft drink you created from our juice bar! Keep your painting for your space, or gift it to someone special!

Open to teens 12-19.  

Join us for an afternoon of outdoor fun to kick off Summer Reading! We'll have games, crafts, bubbles, and an ice cream bar. Children, teens, and adults welcome! 

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

Enjoy reading in a quiet, comfortable environment with this silent book club for kids. Each week, we'll get cozy at the library for half an hour of solo reading, plus time at the end to chat and enjoy some snacks.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Join us every Tuesday afternoon to watch some anime! We will have candies, activities, and talk about our favorite anime and manga characters.

Experience the Community Music School of Springfield at the library!

Each week we will have a drop-in project or two based on a theme.

Join us as we explore the beautiful hidden treasures on the Quadrangle right outside the library. Check in to the teen desk for a list of clues that will lead you to seven art object outside around the quadrangle.

Looking to add something new to your after-school snack cookbook? Kids can learn how to make fun and interesting snacks at the Forest Park Library! Every other week in the summer. Ideal for children 10 and up.

 Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

Level up your cooking skills this summer with food inspired by classic video and board games! Open to all young chefs ages 6-12.

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods. 

Level-up your summer gaming experience at Springfield City Library with the largest mobile arcade in New England: Arcade on the Go! Enjoy arcade games in a climate-controlled environment without going further than your local library.

Come read with the softest and most cuddly rabbit, Henry! Reading aloud improves literacy skills and builds confidence. Open to early and experienced readers of all ages.

Family friendly chess club for kids to come learn and sharpen their skills in a supportive environment.

Come Switch it up at the library and play your choice of games.

We will play Mario Kart, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and other games on our brand new Switch. Bring your own controllers for 2+ multiplayer games.

A Spanish language conversation group that functions to help improve understanding, speaking and reading and allow for a safe space for cultural exchange! Intermediate level recommended, but beginners welcome to listen and follow along.
