The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Gather in the community room for a weekly screening of a classic TV show. We'll have popcorn and water - feel free to bring your own snacks.

This season, we'll watch some of the best episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Whether you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or crewel, these groups are the place for you.

Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

Hang out, have fun, make friends, and eat snacks.

Play with the Big Blue Blocks during the month of March at Mason Square! This playgroup will feature giant foam building blocks to encourage extra special active, collaborative, and imaginative play.

New members are always welcome, and current members are often willing to share their skills. Some yarn and needles can be provided, but donations are always welcome.

The adult chess club is for chess players of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Whether you're looking for a casual game or a competitive match, check out the library's adult chess club. 

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods. 

Join us every other Wednesday at the Forest Park Library for Wow Wednesdays! We will be doing a variety of crafts and activities, but all of it will be fun! For tweens and teens, ages 11-18. 

We will be creating animals, critters and other things from pipe cleaners. For school aged children. 

Is there not enough color in your house? Are you wishing for something to brighten up your dreary springtime day? Come into the Brightwood Branch to paint a suncatcher!

Join us every Wednesday evening for games, crafts, snacks, and conversation. For teens 13+

Practice your Spanish and help others practice their English in a weekly conversation circle and safe space for cultural exchange! We will spend half the time practicing Spanish and the other half practicing English, with a break in between.

Come join us at the East Forest Park library for adult board game night! We’ll provide the games and instruction – bring a friend, meet a neighbor, and learn a new game with us! All levels welcome. Ages 18+ please.

Create ambiance for your summer table by decorating tapered candles.  

Love to read? If so, come meet us at the Raymond Jordan Senior Center for our monthly Book Club! We read mostly historical fiction but at times delve into non-fiction, contemporary fiction, and mysteries.
