Visit the Forest Park Branch library each month to try out a new craft! Craft your cares away together by trying new projects and learning new skills. Learn the basics of sewing, make a memorizing glitter bottle, or start a family of pet rocks.

We supply the artist-quality crayons, pencils and pens and coloring pages, to spark your creativity. Just drop by The Homework Center and color your stress away. For tweens and teens. 

Celebrate the First Day of Summer! Express your voice through art as we decorate the sidewalk outside the Library's State Street entrance with sidewalk chalk. We provide the chalk; you provide the art. All ages.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Inspired by The Rainbow Fish book series, swim on into the Brightwood Branch to create your very own underwater friend!

Come join for an afternoon of recycling art! We'll provide the old books, and the instructions to make crafts and blackout poetry from their pages! For Teens 12-18.

Ranger Susan from the Springfield Armory Museum will lead storytimes with activities.  The themes will be based on Nature, animals and the Outdoors.  

Design and create your own bracelet and pair of earrings! Choose from a wide array of beads and charms to create unique pieces of jewelry. Try out using specialized tools for jewelry making and learn the basic skills!

Design your own tile using stencils and paint on a ceramic tile. You can also bring your own stencil for a four inch tile or free hand a design!
