Week Calendar

The Any Book Club (ABC) meets bi-monthly to share stories about their recent reads. Members of the Any Book Club review books they've read recently so others can learn about what's great and - sometimes - what's not.

New members are welcome, and current members are often willing to share their skills. Some yarn and needles can be provided, but donations are always welcome.

We discuss a different romance novel each month - our choices explore all the sub-genres, and a wide representation of characters. One Saturday a month, online via Zoom.

Join us for 45 minutes of chair yoga. Using gentle stretching while seated, chair yoga allows adults of all abilities to improve flexibility and balance. Instructor Cindy Senk, a certified accessible yoga teacher, will lead the class.

Prove you're the best wordsmith in Springfield at the Forest Park Library. Winners will receive prizes and bragging rights. Registration is optional, but recommended.

The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Visit the Mason Square Branch on July 8th for National Freezer Pop Day! We'll be giving away freezer pops to celebrate the holiday and keep cool this summer!

Meet up at the East Springfield Branch to listen to music from Black artists this summer! Bring your favorite songs, albums, and soundtracks performed by Black musicians to listen to and share with the group. 

Ages: 11+

Who's that peeking out from the cave? Sculpt a Dragon eye that's fierce or friendly using a glass eye, air dry clay and metallic paint. Class is limited to the first 15 participants.

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

Come to the East Forest Park library for a golden trivia afternoon – the 2nd Tuesday of every month. We’ll have snacks, fun facts, and a great time! Recommended age 55+. Themes TBA.

Level-up your summer gaming experience at Springfield City Library with the largest mobile arcade in New England: Arcade on the Go! Enjoy arcade games in a climate-controlled environment without going further than your local library.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Each week we will have a drop-in project or two based on a theme.

The adult chess club is for chess players of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Whether you're looking for a casual game or a competitive match, check out the library's adult chess club. 

Join us for our day-time, Open Studio session! You can bring a project to work on, or an idea to bounce off of other makers.

Keir will perform love songs, standards, ballads, and soft rock, including artists such as Josh Groban, Billy Joel, Louis Armstrong, Roy Orbison, Elton John, John Denver, and Nat King Cole.

Come to the East Forest Park branch library to show off your Scrabble skills! Test your vocabulary – and your opponents – at this weekly drop-in program, this summer only. Ages 16+.

Bring in any articles of clothing that may have lost a few bits and/or bobs and learn a new sewing skill! Participants will learn how to properly sew on a button in this workshop as well as how to sew a button hole.

 Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods.
