This month's book selection:
Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage by Alfred Lansing (1959) nonfiction.
The well-researched, inspiring story of how twenty-eight men battled almost insurmountable odds in 1914 to return to civilization after their ship Endurance sank near the South Pole. In 21st century management classes, Shackleton’s success in bringing his crew home is often cited as an example of gifted leadership.
