This month's book selection:

Bird Brother: A Falconer’s Journey and the Healing Power of Wildlife by Rodney Stotts (2022) nonfiction.

To escape the tough streets of Southeast Washington, D.C., young Rodney Stotts would ride the metro to the Smithsonian National Zoo. In a few years, like many in his neighborhood, he started dealing drugs. In Bird Brother, Stotts shares his unlikely journey to becoming a conservationist and one of America’s few Black master falconers.
