In 2026, the Springfield City Library is adding a seed library to every branch! But we need your help - we need to repackage seeds from our vendor into individual portions.

Drop into the teen room where we will have art supplies laid out for the day, and create a book cover for your favorite book.  We’ll display the entries for one week in the teen room for patrons to vote on.

Want to crochet but not sure where to start? Want to learn how to make a granny square? Found a really cool pattern but not quite sure how to make sense of it? Come learn to crochet or further your skills!

Visit the Mason Square Branch and create your very own glycerin-based soap! We will have dried flowers, soap dyes, mica powders and fragrance oils to customize it for your liking. For teens and adults 14+

Parents, grandparents, and other guardians can team up with their children to make an easy, step-by-step, fun painting. Dress for a mess! Designed for children 7-13 with their parents or guardians.

All Ages Welcome 

Join us every other Wednesday at the Forest Park Library for Wow Wednesdays! We will be doing a variety of crafts and activities, but all of it will be fun! For tweens and teens, ages 11-18. 

Have a t-shirt you're not quite ready to part with? Turn it into a tote bag. No sewing required. We will have a variety of t-shirts, or bring your own. Preregistration strongly encouraged. For ages 11-18.
