It's time to start the weekend with some games! We will have a Nintendo Switch running for up to 4 players, board games, cards, and legos available. Light refreshments provided. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 welcome!

Nothing to do before the weekend? Don't want to spend your summer gaming alone? Visit the Forest Park Library and play board game or pick up a Nintendo Switch Joycon and join a Smash tournament. We'll be gaming every Friday this summer!

On Fridays we will play Mario Kart, Mario Party and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, on our brand new Switch. Bring your own controllers for 2+ multiplayer games. 3-5pm.

Are you looking for a place to play D&D with your friends? Want a place to play Magic the Gathering? Are you looking for other players to join their games? Come to the Central Branch once a month for our open gaming day.

Join us Saturday mornings for an all ages, themed family storytime. Each week we'll read books, get silly, and do an activity, all about a special theme. Costumes and toys are encouraged! 

Relax with us and return to a simpler time of cartoons and sweet cereals. We'll provide breakfast foods, cartoons, and crafts. You can come in your comfiest pajamas or loungewear.  

Design and create your own bracelet and pair of earrings! Choose from a wide array of beads and charms to create unique pieces of jewelry. Try out using specialized tools for jewelry making and learn the basic skills!

Explore three types of artistic metal work - embossed metal, punched metal, and Hojalata (Mexican Folk Art).

Exploding Kittens? Catan? Chutes and Ladders? Apples to Apples? Dungeons and Dragons? Whatever your favorite game, we will be playing it at our After Hours Game Night for Teens. Eat pizza, play games. Ages 12-18. Preregistration required.

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

Join us to build and create with Dominoes! This program is open to kids in grades 2nd-8th and will teach kids some basic domino-building skills, as well as give them an opportunity to build on their own!

Family friendly chess club for kids to come learn and sharpen their skills in a supportive environment.

SANE, or Support and Accountability in Novel Editing, is a year-round extension group of the NaNoWriMo region of Western Massachusetts.

Get your cozy pajamas on and bring your favorite stuffie to a special pajama storytime. We will read books, sing songs and dance our sillies out. For ages birth to 5 years old.

The EFP Makerspace is open!

Bring a project to work on, or an idea to bounce off of other makers. Instruction and access to the equipment will be available: Cricut cutter, sewing machines, 3D printers, recording studio, and more!

Every Tuesday morning. Geared toward children pre-k and under with accompanying adults, but older siblings welcome!

Wee Ones is a special storytime developed for toddlers that encourages  interaction through stories, music and play. Come have fun while building early literacy and social skills. For children and their caregivers.

The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Parents and their children are invited to join us for stories, songs, and activities! This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and give your child the opportunity to socialize with other children their age.
