The program includes a period of continuous movement designed to get your heart rate up, followed by a series of balance, strengthening and flexibility exercises intended to improve your mobility and independence. For adults 60+.

Wee Ones is a special storytime developed for toddlers that encourages  interaction through stories, music and play. Come have fun while building early literacy and social skills. For children and their caregivers.

Join us at the Mason Square Library for a day of creativity and fun as we celebrate LEGO Day, where builders of all ages can unleash their imagination and build amazing creations with LEGO bricks!

Come join us for education fun and learning at a librarian facilitated playgroup!  An adult must accompany and consistently supervise children.  No registration required, just drop in. Birth to 5 years, siblings welcome.

Every other Thursday in the East Forest Park children's activity room, we will offer an array of toddler friendly sensory activities to work on motor skills. Aimed at toddlers, but siblings welcome.

Come learn your new favorite yoga poses on Saturday mornings this January. These free yoga classes are for all ages and all abilities. Instructor Hannah Ketchum (Summer 2023, Family Yoga) returns to East Forest Park for this six week series.

Join us on the first Saturday every month and make a chainmail bracelet! Try one class or sign up for them all! All supplies provided, registration required. Some example pieces are the Japanese Lace pattern and the Full Persian. Adults 18+.

Part 1: Getting Started - Overwhelmed by computers? This class starts at the very beginning and will help you understand what a computer is and get comfortable with the basics. No experience is necessary!

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop every other Monday.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods. 

The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Part 2: The Internet - In this class, we will talk about the internet, how to use it, and learn some tips to make it easier to navigate. Basic keyboard and mouse skills are required.

Part 3: Search and Email - In this class, we will talk about searching the internet, and email basics including how to send and receive messages online. Basic keyboard and mouse skills are required.

Part 4:  Optional Practice and Questions - In this optional session, practice skills learned in the first 3 sessions, and  get help with specific questions.

Let's celebrate Black History Month by meeting children authors, their stories and poetry: Oge Mora, Faith Ringgold, Ashley Bryan, and more!

Visit the Forest Park branch on Fridays after school for some gaming fun in the teen area! We'll have a variety of board and card games along with our Nintendo Switch! For t(w)eens, ages 11-18. From 3-4:30pm. 

African dance and drumming bring people together in joy! In this class series, we will practice West African dance and drumming from Guinea and Mali, while having fun and playing together as a group.

Come hang out and craft on Wednesday evenings from 4-5:30pm. Embroider, sew, stitch, knit, or anything else you desire. We will provide embroidery materials, strings and needles, but feel free to bring your own crafting projects to work on.

SANE, or Support and Accountability in Novel Editing, is a year-round extension group of the NaNoWriMo region of Western Massachusetts.

Join us for a workshop that celebrates Mosaics in African Art. Come learn about this ancient craft and create your own art to take home. All materials provided. For ages 10+

Bring a project to work on, or an idea to bounce off of other makers. Instruction and access to the equipment will be available: Cricut cutter, sewing machines, 3D printers, recording studio, and more!
