Every Tuesday morning. Geared toward children pre-k and under with accompanying adults, but older siblings welcome!

Wee Ones is a special storytime developed for toddlers that encourages  interaction through stories, music and play. Come have fun while building early literacy and social skills. For children and their caregivers.

Love to read? If so, then meet us at the Raymond Jordan Senior Center for our monthly Book Club, where we delve into the heart of historical fiction, non-fiction, and even memoir. Adults 18+

Join us each week for a quiet and sensory friendly storytime for babies and toddlers who are not yet walking. Siblings welcome!

Come join us for education fun and learning at a librarian facilitated playgroup!  An adult must accompany and consistently supervise children.  No registration required, just drop in. Birth to 5 years, siblings welcome. 

Every Thursday we will offer an array of toddler friendly sensory activities to work on motor skills. Aimed at toddlers, but siblings welcome.

Weather permitting, this program will be held on the children's patio!

Do you have an infant under 12 months (pre-walker)? Join us for some fun and socializing. Developmentally appropriate toys and materials available for you to use with your child.

New members are welcome, and current members are often willing to share their skills. Some yarn and needles can be provided, but donations are always welcome.

Join us for a delightful needle felting class where you get to create charming toadstools using wool and a barbed needle on felt, stretched over an embroidery hoop.

Join us for 45 minutes of outdoor chair yoga lead by Cindy Senk, a certified personal trainer and yoga instructor. Using gentle stretching while seated,chair yoga allows adults of all abilities to improve flexibility and balance.

Join us Saturday mornings for an all ages, themed family storytime. Each week we'll read books, get silly, and do an activity, all about a special theme. Costumes and toys are encouraged! 

Protect your business in the digital age! Join us at the Springfield City Library: Mason Square Branch for an exciting workshop led by local expert William Lancto.

Come visit the Mason Square Branch Library and make a candle! We'll have a variety of dyes and scents to make it your own. For ages 16+

Come learn the science and process behind soap making, leave with your own homemade soap! Kristie Valenze will walk participants through the saponification process and how to create basic bars of soap in this hands-on program.

Calling all imperfectionists! Join Tacky Craft Club, where we come together to create things (good or bad) and make friends. 

Spend a lunch break at the Library and get financially fit with Dawn Creighton of Liberty Bank! Join Dawn for a series of engaging lunch-time workshops about budgeting, money management, saving, credit-building, home-buying, and more.

Come and play with the Craft Cart for an art related activity. We will have an assortment of art supplies available for you to experiment with. We will have Model Magic clay, paints and more for families to use. For ages 6-13. 

Discover Queer Book Club! A monthly club for reading queer books of various genres. Read one of the 4 book options and meet us at Monsoon's cafe for coffee or lunch to discuss. Adults 18+.

The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Drop in to the Teen Room to make projects using paracord. Key chains, bracelets, pet collars, and more! All materials provided, you bring the imagination. While supplies last.

It's an afterschool playdate at the library! Stop by between 3:00 - 4:45 for plenty of family friendly fun.

On Fridays we will play Mario Kart, Mario Party and Super Smash Bros Ultimate, on our brand new Switch. Bring your own controllers for 2+ multiplayer games. 3-5pm.

Family friendly chess club for kids to come learn and sharpen their skills in a supportive environment.

Come to the East Forest Park library for adult trivia night – the 4th Wednesday of every month. We’ll have snacks, fun facts, and a great time! Ages 18+. September's theme will be Lord of the Rings!
