Held every Tuesday morning. Geared toward toddlers ages 3 and under with their grown-ups!

The Makerspace is open! 

Every Thursday we will offer an array of toddler friendly activities and toys to work on motor skills. Aimed at toddlers, but siblings welcome.

Come join us for educational fun and learning at a librarian facilitated playgroup! 

No registration required, just drop in anytime during the program.

We discuss a different romance novel each month - our choices explore all the sub-genres, and a wide representation of characters. One Saturday a month, online via Zoom.

Join us for a silly and fun toddler storytime on Tuesday mornings. We'll read, sing, and play with toys together. Geared towards toddlers, older siblings welcome.   

This club is for dominoes players of all levels - beginners are welcome! Come meet new people and socialize over a game.

Join us every Tuesday for Big Kid Storytime to enjoy stories and songs that are well suited for kids ages 4-6, with their grown ups!

Come into the Brightwood Branch to make wintery ornaments out of air dry clay! Create snowflakes, icicles or woodland animals that is sure to bring some sparkle to your home this winter! 

Join us for a welcoming and inclusive event. Read together, make new friends, and explore our brand-new Communication Board. Activities are sensory-friendly and child-led, giving every child the chance to participate at their own pace.

Learn the basics of knitting and build your skills with guided lessons. No experience needed! Every month we will review casting on, counting stitches, garter stitch, and stockinette stitch for new patrons and beginners.

Do you want to try Dungeons & Dragons but don’t know how to start? Do you remember playing, but don’t have a group to play with now? Come to the East Forest Park library’s Dungeons & Dragons for Adults group! All levels welcome.

Bring a book you have read to discuss with the group monthly. Did you find the book appealing or appalling? Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be provided.

Discover Queer Book Club! A monthly club for reading queer books of various genres. Read one of the 4 book options and meet us at Monsoon's cafe for coffee or lunch to discuss. Adults 18+.

Unwind and get creative at our Aromatherapy Candle Making Workshop! This hands-on class teaches you the art of crafting candles. You will learn how to blend essential oils to create your own unique, calming scent profile.

Come learn how to make your own soy-wax candle with us at the Mason Square Branch Library! We will have an array of colors, scents and dried flowers for you to use. For teens and adults 14+

Calling all parents with young children! We invite you along with your child for a fun filled hour of gross motor fun to develop physical abilities.

Family gathering to celebrate Winterland 

Debate is a skill few people master, but it’s an important thing to know how to do. It’s also fun! Join us for this three-part series lead by local student Emma Hassan to learn the art of debate, and get plenty of practice honing your skills!

Join us to share monthly seasonal readings in a quiet, comfortable environment.

The Springfield Thunderbirds are going on tour at Springfield City Library! Join us for a special storytime and hockey-themed activities with T-birds players and our favorite mascot, Boomer. Great for families.

LEGO to the Library!  Do you enjoy building with Legos? Join us at the library every Tuesday afternoon between 3:30-4:30 for LEGO club and build to your heart's content. This is a drop-in program for kids of all ages. 

Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods.

It is time to get your brick on!

Stop by the EFP Childrens’ Room for our weekly LEGO brick building challenge.  

For master builders of all ages!

Kids ages 8+ will use ceramics and mixed media to create holiday/winter inspired art to use as gifts or keepsakes.

Come to the Forest Park Library to color in a calm environment. We've got a wide array of options from crayons to acrylic markers. Enjoy quiet music and snacks, talking is optional. Every other Friday afternoon. 

Creative writing club for teens who love to write or want to try it out. Share your original poems, short stories, novels, and more; receive feedback on your work; and do fun writing activities! Snacks and notebooks provided.

Join us weekly for the opportunity to practice speaking English in an informal, drop-in setting. This program is geared towards adult and older teens who have intermediate and advanced-level English skills to practice and expand vocabulary.

Light Up the Night with a Solstice Fairy Light. Using fairy lights, a mason jar, tissue paper and Mod Podge we'll make a sparkly night light. For ages 6 and up. 

Join the Brightwood Branch Library for a monthly event where anime & manga enthusiasts gather to watch the anime of the day, whether it's a show from years gone by or the hottest current obsession. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
