The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Interested in learning how to play Dungeons & Dragons, but intimidated by all the rules and the expense? The library hosts beginner D&D sessions once a month on Saturday afternoons. You can drop in and learn the basics.

It's time to start the weekend with some games! We will have a Nintendo Switch running for up to 4 players, board games, cards, and legos available. Light refreshments provided. Tweens and teens ages 9-18 welcome!

Join other LEGO Questers in building our Challenge of the month, or build your own. Tuesdays, 3-5 pm. Indian Orchard branch. For ages 5 and up. 

Get inspired by using a wide array of art and writing materials as well as board games. Enjoy the company of others or grab a quiet space for some precious alone time.

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods. 

Come visit the Forest Park Branch for some crafting! Every other Wednesday we'll have an interactive craft for tweens and teens! Some examples are slime, painting, and soap making. For ages 11-18, from 3:30-4:30pm.

Create new Halloween decorations this fall by making your own Zombie Barbies this October. Now is your chance to remove limbs and give gruesome haircuts to everyone's favorite fashion doll.

Get ready to sing your heart out at the Forest park Branch with Karaoke at the Library! Pick your favorite songs to sing solo or with a friend! For t(w)eens ages 11-18. Third Thursday of the month, from 3:30-5pm.

Have the freedom to build using your imagination. Each month, anyone interested is invited to create their own unique Lego creations following a monthly theme.

Visit the Forest Park branch on Fridays after school for some gaming fun in the teen area! We'll have a variety of board and card games along with our Nintendo Switch! For t(w)eens, ages 11-18. From 3:30-4:30pm. 

Art lessons will include an introduction to a specific artist with plenty of time to create your own masterpiece to bring home. Well suited for 7-11 year olds, but younger children with accompanying grown ups are welcome to come and create.

Join us Mondays in September and October for some messy, sensory art for toddlers. We'll squish, splatter, and splash so please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Recommended for children 3-5 years old.  

Alma from the PBS Kids show Alma's Way will be visiting the library during our Pin A Pumpkin activity. Stop by and enjoy lots of family fun!

Visit the Forest Park Branch library each month to try out a new craft! Craft your cares away together by trying new projects and learning new skills.

Would you like a pumpkin without all of the mess! Come to Brightwood during October to make a Jack-O-Lantern that is sure to put you in that spooky spirit!

Come hang out and craft on Wednesday evenings from 4-5:30pm. Embroider, sew, stitch, knit, or anything else you desire. We will provide embroidery materials, strings and needles, but feel free to bring your own crafting projects to work on.
