The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Whether you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or crewel, these groups are the place for you.

Make a sensory bottle filled with all sorts of pretty glitter. Shake it up when you're feeling overwhelmed, and watch as the glitter slowly floats back to the bottom.

Join us every Tuesday afternoon in January and February to watch some anime. We will have snacks, books, activities, and talk about our favorite anime and manga characters. For tweens and teens.

The Springfield Thunderbirds are going on tour at Springfield City Library! Join us for a special storytime and hockey-themed activities with T-birds players and our favorite mascot, Boomer. Great for families.

LEGO to the Library!  Do you enjoy building with Legos? Join us at the library every Tuesday afternoon between 3:30-4:30 for LEGO club and build to your heart's content. This is a drop-in program for kids of all ages. 

Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

Hang out, have fun, make friends, and eat snacks.

New members are always welcome, and current members are often willing to share their skills. Some yarn and needles can be provided, but donations are always welcome.

The Makerspace is open! 

The adult chess club is for chess players of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Whether you're looking for a casual game or a competitive match, check out the library's adult chess club. 

The Mobile Farmers Market is back.  The colorful truck will be making a weekly stop on Wednesdays.  The Farmers Market truck brings affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables to local neighborhoods.

Practice your Spanish and help others practice their English in a weekly conversation circle and safe space for cultural exchange! We will spend half the time practicing Spanish and the other half practicing English, with a break in between.

Join us for the Silent Book Club, where we gather to read and talk about books. Bring your own book for an hour of independent reading (with snacks!). After reading, we chat about our books and share recommendations. For Adults and Teens 16+.
