Calling all parents with young children! We invite you along with your child for a fun filled hour of gross motor fun to develop physical abilities.

Find out how fun Monday afternoons can be! Join us this summer for a different Monday Funday activity each week. We'll play, build, craft, and create! Recommended for children ages 6 and up.
 

Welcome to Code Builders 2.0 - our all ages, drop-in club where you can explore robotics, coding languages (like Scratch and Python), and even 3D design & printing!

This club is open to aspiring coders of all ages.

We’ll provide all the supplies for you to create your own jewelry pieces, unique to your artistic vision. Make your own game-inspired clay bracelet charm or choose your own design. Add beads to finish your project.

Looking to add something new to your after-school snack cookbook? Kids can learn how to make fun and interesting snacks at the Forest Park Library! Every other week in the summer. Ideal for children 10 and up.

Join the Western Mass Writers Guild for our monthly meeting at the Springfield Library. Writers of all skill levels are welcome to attend. Meetings include writing “sprints,” idea collaboration and general camaraderie.

Held every Tuesday morning. Geared toward toddlers ages 3 and under with their grown-ups!

Join us for a silly and fun toddler storytime on Tuesday mornings. We'll read, sing, and play with toys together. Geared towards toddlers, older siblings welcome.   

Join us every Tuesday for Big Kid Storytime to enjoy stories and songs that are well suited for kids ages 4-6, with their grown ups!

New members are welcome, and current members are often willing to share their skills. Some yarn and needles can be provided, but donations are always welcome.

The Springfield City Library is delighted to partner with the Hampden County Law Library to offer the public the opportunity to talk with a Law Librarian from the Hampden County Courts.

Enjoy reading in a quiet, comfortable environment with this silent book club for kids. Each week, we'll get cozy at the library for half an hour of solo reading, plus time at the end to chat and enjoy some snacks.

Drop-in for our weekly studio session. From sewing a button or hemming pants, to following a pattern to construct a garment using a sewing machine, our sewing volunteer can help you get started!

Join us on Tuesdays this July for some messy, sensory art for toddlers and preschoolers. This program is designed with children 3-6 years old in mind, younger children are welcome but may require more help.

Level-up your summer gaming experience at Springfield City Library with the largest mobile arcade in New England: Arcade on the Go! Enjoy arcade games in a climate-controlled environment without going further than your local library.

Explore musical interests and experience a real musical instrument in a fun, judgment-free zone!

 Visit the Mason Square Branch on Tuesday afternoons for some switch gaming!

Hang out, have fun, make friends, and eat snacks.

Join us for a brand new book club at the Brightwood Branch Library! We will be discussing hidden gems from the contemporary fiction genre. Adults 18+.

Light refreshments will be provided.
